Our Truth
Our students’ intellectual, social and emotional well-being is the catalyst for all we do at La Jolla Country Day School (LJCDS). We know that diversity contributes to a more enriching teaching and learning experience, and we are committed to creating an environment where every member of our community feels like they belong. We embrace people with open hearts and minds. We believe in the inherent worth and value of all people. -
Our Aspiration
We strive to build an inclusive community that encourages civility and curiosity in discourse and dialogue. We value the myriad of lived experiences and perspectives that prepare students to thrive personally and professionally in an increasingly interconnected, global society. We invite constructive conversations with differing or opposing views in order to give us all the necessary skills to shape our future with openness, empathy and compassion. -
Our Promise
LJCDS is working to create and sustain a diverse, equitable and inclusive community for students, faculty and staff of all backgrounds. Through our commitment to inclusion, belonging and systemic equality, we will create a community of learners committed to an environment that promotes curiosity and the exploration of all aspects of identity. We pledge to grow as an institution and a community. -
