From the Cardinal to the Cardinals, Tommy Edman '13 Drafted in the 6th Round
Former Country Day and current Stanford baseball great, Tommy Edman '13, was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in Major Laegue Baseball's 6th round late this morning.
Tommy led Stanford in runs (35), hits (61), triples (4) and stolen bases (8) and was 2nd on the team in batting average (.286), total bases (79) and walks (25). Tommy’s fielding % was an impressive .955 and he was selected as the 2nd baseman on the Pac 12's Defensive Team (one player at each position from the conference). Stanford’s fielding % of .983 led the nation. Tommy was also honored by the College Sports Information Directors Association as a 2nd Team Academic All-American. Tommy is a computer science major and carries a 3.84 GPA.
