Monday, January 27 for the San Diego Coastline College Application Evaluation Case Studies. Open to Juniors and their families, this event is a great opportunity to learn about what goes into an admission decision and how admission evaluators review student applications. The program will be led by current admission professionals from notable universities around the country. The event will be held at Francis Parker School.
Students and parents will form imaginary admissions committees, guided by college representatives, where you will discuss fictional applicants and collectively decide which students to admit, waitlist, and deny based on the college profile provided. Through this exercise, attendees will begin to understand the ways in which a college application is read, common mistakes made by applicants, and the nuances that go into application review.
