Congrats to our Triple CIF Champions

What an exciting time to be a Torrey! Congratulations to the women's basketball, men's basketball and men's soccer teams for winning CIF division championships. 

LJCDS Women’s Basketball dominated Del Norte 86-27 on Saturday, February 25, and secured the San Diego Section Open Division championship. Senior point guard Jada Williams sank a half-court buzzer-beater going into half-time. This is their second consecutive title and third in four years. 

LJCDS Men’s Basketball won the San Diego Section Division I basketball championship on Friday, February 24, and advances in the D3 regional playoffs on Tuesday night at home against #16 seeded Bonita, La Verne.

LJCDS Men’s Soccer team captured the Division IV title after earning No. 1 seeding in the San Diego Section Division IV championship game. The Torreys shut out second-seeded Morse 5-0 with five second-half goals scored by Patrick Ward, co-captain Axel Nyman, and a hat trick from senior forward Colin Guckian.

All three teams will now advance to the Southern California Regional Playoffs. Read the press coverage below.
