As your child journeys through growth and development, we recognize the questions and uncertainties that may arise, particularly surrounding puberty. The American Academy of Pediatrics states that puberty typically begins between the ages of 8 and 13 in girls and between 9 and 14 in boys, marking a period of significant physical, emotional and social development. Recognizing the broad range of typical development, we will be offering optional gender-specific talks to complement our Health and Wellness curriculum in grades 5 and 7:
